Kapture IT Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: August 25, 2026 · Published by Kalidonis LLC

Plain-language summary: Kapture IT processes user-requested webpage captures on your device. Screenshot content is not uploaded to, collected by, sold by, or retained by Kalidonis LLC.

Scope

This policy describes how the Kapture IT browser extension handles information when you use its full-page capture and local export features in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

Kapture IT has one purpose: capture the full visible content of the active webpage at your request and save the resulting image locally as a PNG or PDF.

Information the extension can access

Only after you select Kapture IT and initiate a capture, the extension can temporarily access the active webpage to:

  • Read page and viewport dimensions.
  • Read and change scroll coordinates while capture is in progress.
  • Identify fixed and sticky elements to reduce repeated content in the final image.
  • Capture visible webpage pixels through the browser.
  • Restore the page after completion, failure, or cancellation.

Visible webpage content—including sensitive information visible on screen—can necessarily appear in the screenshot you request.

Information Kapture IT does not intentionally access

No account or identity data

Kapture IT does not require an account and does not request names, email addresses, passwords, or payment information.

No browsing surveillance

Kapture IT does not access or retain your browsing history, cookies, authentication tokens, or activity across tabs.

No page-data extraction

Kapture IT does not intentionally read form values or extract page text. It captures the visible pixels requested by the user.

No analytics or advertising

The extension contains no telemetry, analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or tracking SDK.

How capture data is handled

  • Captured pixels remain in temporary extension memory while the capture is assembled.
  • PNG and PDF generation occurs locally in the browser.
  • An output file is created only through a download you initiate.
  • Kapture IT does not maintain a capture history.
  • No screenshot content, page metadata, or usage event is transmitted to Kalidonis LLC or a third party.

After download, the file is controlled by you and may be affected by your browser, operating system, backup, synchronization, or device-management settings. Those systems are outside Kapture IT's control.

Browser permissions

Kapture IT requests only the permissions necessary for its user-facing capture workflow:

PermissionPurpose
activeTabTemporarily access only the active webpage after you explicitly start a capture.
scriptingInject the temporary scrolling and capture controller required to assemble the full page.
downloadsSave the PNG or PDF file you choose to generate to your device.

Collection, retention, sharing, and sale

Kalidonis LLC does not receive, collect, store, retain, share, or sell screenshot content or page metadata through Kapture IT. The extension does not communicate with a Kalidonis LLC server or any third-party API.

Because Kalidonis LLC does not receive capture data, there is no server-side capture data to retrieve or delete.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Future changes

Any future feature involving cloud processing, accounts, sharing, synchronization, analytics, or persistent capture history will require a new product and security review and an updated privacy disclosure before release. Material changes to this policy will be reflected by updating the date above.
